About The Position

The Respiratory Care Practitioner II (RCP II) / Respiratory Therapist (RRT) delivers respiratory therapy treatments and pulmonary diagnostic services in an acute care setting, including assessment, treatment planning, and implementation of care across all patient populations. Work in a high-acuity, critical care environment and advanced respiratory cases.

Requirements

• Current State Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) license required.
• Current Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) from the National Board of Respiratory Care (NBRC) or obtained within three (3) months of hire.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certified from the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross (ARC) upon hire and maintain current.
• Adult Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) from the AHA or ARC certification upon hire and maintain current.
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) from the AHA certification upon hire and maintain current or obtained within 60 days of hire.
• Neonatal Resuscitation Program certificate is upon hire and maintain current or obtained within 60 days of hire.

Nice To Haves

• Associate Degree or Bachelor of Science degree preferred.
• Two (2) years of acute care experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Administer respiratory therapy treatments (oxygen, aerosol, airway management)
• Manage ventilators, BiPAP/CPAP, and high-flow oxygen systems
• Perform pulmonary diagnostics (ABGs, PFTs)
• Implement patient-specific respiratory care plans
• Document care in the EMR
• Respond to code blue and rapid response events
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to support patient outcomes
• May serve as Lead RCP during assigned shifts
