About The Position

Amberwell Hiawatha, a critical access hospital in Hiawatha, Kansas, is seeking a Respiratory Therapist to provide basic and advanced respiratory care to infant, pediatric, adult, and geriatric patients. Under the supervision of the Cardiopulmonary Director and Medical Director, the therapist plans, implements, and evaluates the effectiveness of respiratory care across all patient care departments. Therapy services and testing must be performed within the Cardiopulmonary Department’s scope of practice and Kansas licensure guidelines. The successful candidate will demonstrate Amberwell’s culture priorities in every interaction and lead by example.

Requirements

• Successful completion of an associate or bachelor’s degree in Respiratory Care.
• Kansas State Board of Healing Arts (KSBHA) license.
• Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) credential from the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC).
• Current BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NRP certifications.
• Able to perform all therapeutic respiratory care procedures in inpatient and outpatient settings.

Nice To Haves

• At least 1 year of clinical experience.
• Bachelor of Science in Respiratory Care.
• Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential from the NBRC.
