About The Position

The Respiratory Therapist will perform diagnostic procedures and ensure ventilators and life support equipment are operable. This role is responsible to the Director of Cardiopulmonary.

Requirements

• Associate Degree or two year Certification in Respiratory Care
• Licensed by the Texas Medical Board
• Attains and Maintains American Heart Association BLS Healthcare Provider
• Attains and Maintains NRP within 90 days of hire
• Attains and Maintains ACLS, PALS within 6 months of hire
• Ability to be mobile
• Ability to talk to patient and/or staff
• Ability to hear patients and/or alarms
• Vision (near and/or far)
• Ability to distinguish colors
• Bloodborne Exposure (Refer to Bloodborne Exposure Control Plan in Policy Tech for possible exposure tasks) Continually
• Respirator Fit Testing Required Annually

Nice To Haves

• 1 year Respiratory care experience preferred
