About The Position
Bingham Healthcare is seeking compassionate, skilled, and motivated Respiratory Therapists to join our growing healthcare team. Full-Time and PRN opportunities are available. The Full-Time position is for Night Shift, which includes a premium pay differential. Respiratory Therapists play a vital role in patient care—from newborns taking their first breaths to critically ill patients fighting for recovery. At Bingham Healthcare, you'll be an essential member of a collaborative healthcare team dedicated to providing exceptional care to the communities we serve.
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited Respiratory Therapy Program
- Associate Degree or equivalent required
- Current Respiratory Certification or Registration (CRT or RRT) required
- Current Idaho Respiratory License required
- BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NRP certifications required within 90 days of hire
Nice To Haves
- Two years of respiratory therapy experience preferred
Responsibilities
- Provide respiratory therapy treatments and interventions according to physician orders and hospital protocols
- Assess, monitor, and evaluate patient respiratory status
- Administer prescribed respiratory medications and therapies safely and effectively
- Perform pulmonary function testing and bedside respiratory assessments
- Educate patients and families regarding respiratory treatments and disease management
- Participate as an essential member of the Code Team during emergency situations
- Assist with airway management and advanced life support procedures
- Set up, monitor, troubleshoot, and manage mechanical ventilation systems
- Administer CPAP and other advanced respiratory therapies
- Perform artificial airway care and respiratory interventions as needed
- Consult with physicians and interdisciplinary healthcare teams regarding patient care plans
- Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and continuing education activities
- Assist with equipment maintenance, safety checks, and department operations
