About The Position

We are seeking an experienced Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) to provide comprehensive cardiopulmonary care across acute care settings. The ideal candidate will possess strong critical care experience, NICU experience, and advanced respiratory therapy skills while working collaboratively with physicians and multidisciplinary healthcare teams.

Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited Respiratory Therapy program.
  • Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential issued by the NBRC.
  • Active State Respiratory Care License.
  • Current BLS Certification.
  • Current ACLS Certification.
  • Minimum two (2) years of Respiratory Therapy experience.
  • NICU experience required.
  • Experience providing respiratory care in acute care hospital settings.
  • Strong critical care and cardiopulmonary assessment skills.
  • Ability to work independently in fast-paced healthcare environments.

Nice To Haves

  • NRP Certification preferred.
  • Active AARC membership preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver respiratory care services to neonatal, pediatric, adult, and geriatric patient populations.
  • Assess patient respiratory status and recommend appropriate therapeutic interventions.
  • Perform invasive and non-invasive respiratory diagnostic and therapeutic procedures.
  • Monitor patient progress and evaluate responses to respiratory treatments.
  • Administer respiratory therapies according to physician orders and facility protocols.
  • Maintain accurate patient records and department documentation.
  • Educate patients and families regarding respiratory conditions, treatments, and home care.
  • Collaborate with physicians regarding cardiopulmonary assessments and treatment plans.
  • Assist with training and mentoring respiratory therapy students and new staff.
  • Participate in departmental meetings, competency programs, and continuing education.
  • Support leadership and charge therapist responsibilities as assigned.
  • Maintain compliance with regulatory, licensing, and hospital standards.
