About The Position
The Respiratory Therapist will provide direct patient care to individuals participating in the CardioPulmonary Rehab and Wellness programs at both Albany and Troy locations. This role is a full-time, day shift position at Samaritan Hospital, with per diem responsibilities from Monday to Friday, 7:00 am to 3:30 pm. The position offers opportunities for career advancement through a strong orientation program and generous tuition allowance.
Requirements
- A current license to practice as a Registered Respiratory Therapist in the State of New York
- Current RRT credentials through the National Board of Respiratory Care
- Must possess the ability to assess, plan, and evaluate patient care.
- Must be able to communicate effectively, verbally and written.
- BLS, EKG Interpretation, and ACLS required within 1 year of hire.
- Flexibility and willingness to float between SPHP locations as needed.
Nice To Haves
- 1 year experience in a Pulmonary Rehab Program preferred.
Responsibilities
- Participate in the development of individualized treatment plans.
- Provide patient education.
- Assist patients with exercise equipment and ensure safety.
- Assess and reassess patient’s needs to achieve both program and personal goals.
