About The Position

Encompass Health is seeking a Respiratory Therapist to provide compassionate respiratory care to patients in an inpatient rehabilitation setting. The role supports patients facing respiratory challenges by providing medical gas, breathing therapy modalities, and medication, while helping guide them toward recovery and independence.

The Respiratory Therapist supervises care and breathing treatments, conducts patient assessments, develops personalized care plans, and addresses patient concerns. The position also involves building relationships with patients by understanding their physical, mental, and emotional needs and supporting their rehabilitation and well-being.

Requirements

• Current state license in Respiratory Therapy.
• CPR certification.

Nice To Haves

• ACLS certification.
• Two years of hospital experience in Respiratory Therapy.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct care to patients requiring medical gas, breathing therapy modalities, and medication.
• Supervise patient care and breathing treatments.
• Lead patient assessments and create personalized care plans.
• Identify and resolve patient concerns.
• Understand patients’ physical, mental, and emotional needs to support successful recovery.
