About The Position

The Respiratory Therapist provides care to the full spectrum of patients served by Respiratory Care Services, including patients in acute and critical care areas, pediatrics, and the Emergency Room. The role also assists physicians with special procedures such as intubation and bronchoscopy. The therapist is responsible for prompt and routine execution of physicians’ orders relating to Respiratory Care Services.

Requirements

• Current California Respiratory Care Practitioner license.
• Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) certification from the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC) with at least two years of experience, or Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) certification.
• Two years of experience in respiratory care.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.

Nice To Haves

• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification.
• Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) certification.
