About The Position

Performs day-to-day operations of the respiratory department under the direction of the Director of Respiratory Therapy and in conjunction with the organization’s core values and the professional practices encompassed within the department. This is a full-time position working four nine-hour days, Monday through Friday, from 7:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. The position includes an on-call rotation for nights, every fourth weekend, and holidays. Employees on call must be within a 30-minute response time.

Requirements

• Technical training as a Respiratory Care Practitioner from an accredited institution.
• Must be licensed in Wisconsin as a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) or Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT).
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS), Neonatal Resuscitation Provider (NRP), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certifications.
• Basic proficiency in word processing and Excel programs.
• Software proficiency across a variety of health care and clinical record applications.
• Must be within a 30-minute response time when on call.

Nice To Haves

• Associate degree as a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) preferred.
• Prior experience as a Respiratory Care Practitioner preferred, but not required if certified in an accredited Respiratory Care Program.
• Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) would be considered.
