About The Position

The Respiratory Therapist administers respiratory care and life support to patients with abnormalities and deficiencies of the cardiopulmonary system by prescription and under the supervision of a physician. This per diem position will work 12-hour shifts on night shift.

Requirements

• RT license in state of practice
• Basic Life Support (BLS)

• 1 Year Pediatric Critical Care
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)

Responsibilities

• Obtains physician's order 100% of the time prior to initiating therapy.
• Able to appropriately assess all patients before and after therapy is delivered 100% of the time.
• Sets up all routine therapy modalities according to policy and procedure 100% of the time.
• Able to set up and monitor all life support equipment according to policy and procedure 100% of the time.
• Able to set up and perform EKG's on patients in a timely fashion.
• Able to perform all POCT including controls, proficiencies and documentation.
• Maintain all State and Joint Commission requirements for licensing and accreditation
