About The Position

Tallahassee Memorial Healthcare (TMH) is a private, nonprofit community-based healthcare system that provides care to a 22-county region in North Florida and South Georgia. TMH is the region's healthcare leader and top provider of advanced care with a 772-bed acute care hospital and the region's only Level II Trauma Center, Primary Stroke Center, Level III Neonatal Intensive Care, Pediatric Intensive Care, and the most advanced cancer, heart and vascular, orthopedic & surgery programs in the Panhandle. Our system also includes a psychiatric hospital, multiple specialty care centers, six residency programs and more than 50 affiliated physician practices. This role involves administering general respiratory care modalities in all areas, excluding NICU, in accordance with departmental and hospital policies and procedures. The therapist will function independently in PICU and all adult intensive care areas, implement and monitor therapeutic modalities per physician's orders, and provide on-call staffing for department needs. This position is an opportunity to develop and broaden assessment skills, communication skills, and knowledge base while preparing for the next level, Respiratory Therapist Critical Care.

Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited Respiratory Care Program
  • Must possess & maintain licensure as a Registered Respiratory Therapist with the State of Florida Department of Health and the National Board of Respiratory Care
  • Possess Current Basic Life Support Certification (BLS)
  • Possess Current Advanced Cardiac Life Support Certification (ACLS)
  • Possess Current Pediatric Advanced Life Support Certification (PALS)

Nice To Haves

  • Neonatal Resuscitation Program Certification (NRP) preferred-must be obtained within 90 days of start
