About The Position
Provide treatment, evaluation, monitoring and management of patients with breathing disorders or cardiovascular problems. Respiratory Therapy practices under the direction of the physicians.
Requirements
- Accredited Certified Respiratory Therapy (CRT) or Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT).
- Current licensure in ND.
- BLS certified.
Nice To Haves
- ACLS preferred.
Responsibilities
- Accurately assess and monitor patients requiring RT treatments.
- Document assessment of lungs, treatment, evaluation, care plan, smoking cessation, equipment set-up, supplies and education.
- Consult with nursing and physicians to modify plan of care as needed.
- Provide education to patients and families.
- Inform other disciplines as appropriate.
- Accurate charges – billing.
- Evaluate equipment needs – send requests for faulty equipment.
- Inform CNO if equipment needed in next budgeted year.
- Complete Quality Assurance for the RT Department and updates policy and procedure manual annually.
- Complete assignments timely and with accuracy.
- Good time management, able to prioritize and is available when needed.
