About The Position

As a Respiratory Therapist at Encompass Health, you provide compassionate respiratory care to patients in an inpatient rehabilitation setting. You help patients facing respiratory challenges move toward greater independence and recovery, using specialized skills and available equipment and technology within a collaborative team. The role includes direct patient care, assessment, care planning, treatment supervision, and support for patients’ physical, mental, and emotional needs.

Requirements

• Current state license in Respiratory Therapy.
• CPR certification.

Nice To Haves

• ACLS certification.
• Two years of hospital experience in Respiratory Therapy.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct care to patients requiring medical gas, breathing therapy modalities, and medication.
• Supervise patient care and breathing treatments.
• Lead patient assessments and create personalized care plans.
• Identify and resolve patient concerns.
• Build relationships with patients and understand their physical, mental, and emotional needs in support of recovery.
