About The Position

We are seeking a skilled Respiratory Therapist to provide comprehensive respiratory care services to patients across a variety of clinical settings. The ideal candidate will assess, treat, monitor, and manage patients with acute and chronic cardiopulmonary conditions while collaborating with multidisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure high-quality patient care.

Requirements

Graduate of an accredited Respiratory Therapy program.
Current Massachusetts Respiratory Therapy License.
Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) or Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) credential.
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification.
Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) Certification.
Minimum one (1) year of critical care respiratory therapy experience preferred.
Strong knowledge of ventilator management and cardiopulmonary care.
Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.

Responsibilities

Assess and identify acute and chronic cardiopulmonary dysfunction.
Initiate, manage, and monitor ventilatory support, including ventilator setup, troubleshooting, lung-protective strategies, and patient weaning.
Follow therapist-driven protocols, departmental procedures, and evidence-based respiratory care practices.
Perform diagnostic procedures including arterial blood gas (ABG) collection and sputum specimen collection.
Interpret ABG results and assess respiratory status.
Perform bedside spirometry and capnography testing.
Monitor patients’ respiratory conditions during intra-facility and inter-facility transport.
Respond to emergency situations including Code Blue and Rapid Response Team activations.
Assist with conscious sedation procedures and endotracheal intubations.
Administer therapeutic gases and treatments, including oxygen therapy, Heliox, and high-flow oxygen therapy.
Assist physicians during bronchoscopies performed in procedural and critical care settings.
Utilize respiratory monitoring equipment and patient care technology effectively.
Maintain accurate documentation and ensure compliance with regulatory and departmental standards.
