Requirements

Graduate of an accredited/AMA-certified School of Respiratory Therapy.
Current North Dakota State Board of Respiratory Care license.
Exceptional clinical judgment
Strong communication skills
Ability to manage high-stress situations calmly
Commitment to patient respect, diversity, and confidentiality (HIPAA).

Nice To Haves

Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred.

Responsibilities

Perform a full spectrum of basic and intensive respiratory therapies, including aerosol therapy, oxygen administration, mechanical ventilation management (invasive and non-invasive), airway management, and diagnostic procedures (e.g., blood gas analysis).
Act as a physician extender, assessing, managing, and treating patients with cardiopulmonary conditions.
Participate in rapid response teams and daily patient rounds.
Provide vital patient and family education on conditions, disease management techniques, and equipment use.
Work seamlessly with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure efficient transitions of care and foster a strong team environment.
Actively participate in departmental meetings, integrate evidence-based practices, and contribute to ongoing learning and quality improvement initiatives.
