About The Position

Work Schedule: Part-time, 90% FTE, night shift. Shifts are scheduled Friday through Sunday between the hours of 7:00 PM - 7:30 PM, 11:00 PM - 7:30 AM and 3:00 PM - 11:30 PM. Holiday and on-call rotation required. Hours may vary based on the operational needs of department. Pay: UW Health offers a competitive compensation and benefits package. Work experience that is relevant to the position will be taken into consideration when determining the starting base pay. Additional components of compensation may include: Evening & night shift differential Weekender differential On-call pay External hires may be eligible for up to a $10,000 sign-on bonus. (pro-rated based off FTE) Relocation assistance may be available for qualified applicants. We are seeking a Respiratory Therapist (RT) to: Provide treatment and diagnostic respiratory services to patients. Work at an ECMO Center of Excellence and Level 1 Trauma Center. Be an important member of an interdisciplinary team to ensure high-quality patient care. Act as a resource to physicians and health care professionals. Gain experience within the organization and seek growth opportunities, which may include senior/lead roles and ECMO Specialist positions.

Requirements

  • Graduate of a Commission on Accreditation for Respiratory Care (CoARC) accredited School for Respiratory Therapy
  • Licensed as a Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) in the State of Wisconsin Upon Hire
  • Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) Credentialed by the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC) Upon Hire
  • Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) Credentialed by the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC) Upon Hire
  • BLS/CPR Certified Upon Hire
  • Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) Certification within 6 months
  • Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) Certification within 6 months

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor's Degree in Respiratory Therapy
  • Recent respiratory therapist experience
  • Registered Respiratory Therapist - Neonatal/Pediatric Specialty (RRT-NPS)
  • Registered Respiratory Therapist - Adult Critical Care Specialty (RRT-ACCS)
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) Certification
