About The Position
The Registered Respiratory Therapist implements and evaluates diagnostic and therapeutic respiratory services to assist physicians in diagnosing and managing patients with cardiopulmonary and related disorders. The position participates in educating patients, students, staff, and physicians; provides technical support for equipment related to Respiratory Care; and assists with general department functions. The Respiratory Care Department provides comprehensive respiratory therapy services to patients of all ages. The team collaborates with physicians and other healthcare professionals to deliver diagnostic testing, therapeutic interventions, and patient education, using current technology and evidence-based practices to manage respiratory conditions. The role is based at Corewell Health Beaumont Troy Hospital, a 530-licensed-bed hospital serving the surrounding community.
Requirements
- Associate's degree in Respiratory Therapy.
- Eligible for the position after attaining RRT NBRC status.
- Michigan State Respiratory Therapist license required upon hire.
- NBRC Respiratory Therapist Registry (CRT) required upon hire.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through either the American Heart Association or American Red Cross required upon hire.
