Requirements

Successful completion of a National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC) approved Respiratory Therapy program.
National Board for Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential is required upon hire or by the end of one year of employment and must be maintained throughout duration of employment.
Required to have an Arizona Respiratory license prior to their first day of employment.
Respiratory Therapists are required to maintain Basic Life Support and Advanced Cardiac Life Support or the equivalent as determined by the site of hire.
Understanding of computers.
Good verbal and written communication skills required.
Should be familiar with risks associated with exposure to infectious patients, needle puncture hazards, and hazards related to compressed gases.

Nice To Haves

Previous hospital experience preferred.
Should be familiar with The Joint Commission standards and requirements.

Responsibilities

Perform specialized respiratory therapy services as directed by provider orders and in accordance with protocols, policies, and procedures established by the hospital.
