Requirements
- Associate’s Degree in Applied Science and Respiratory Therapy
- New York State Respiratory Therapist License
- Current Basic Cardiac Life Support Certification (BCLS)

Responsibilities
- Administers pulmonary function testing, including spirometry, flow volume loops with and without bronchodilator, DLCO, MVV, Maximum Pressure, Body Plethysmography, and Broncho Provocation studies (Methacholine).
- Administers six minute walk test, Oximetry pulse studies, 02 therapy, Metered-Dose Inhalers and Nebulizer treatment.
- Educates patients regarding pulmonary medications and use of oxygen.
- Maintains pulmonary function equipment and associated supplies. Includes proper cleaning and disinfection of equipment per policy.
- Completes reports for pulmonary function tests and distributes to ordering physicians.
- May Schedule appointments when necessary.
- Perform other job duties as assigned.
