About The Position

Join Encompass Health’s respiratory care team and provide compassionate, specialized care to patients facing respiratory challenges. The Respiratory Therapist supports patient rehabilitation and well-being, helping patients work toward greater independence and contributing to their recovery. The role provides direct respiratory care, supervises breathing treatments, assesses patients, develops personalized care plans, and addresses patient concerns. It also involves building relationships with patients by understanding their physical, mental, and emotional needs and recognizing their progress. The position is part of a collaborative inpatient rehabilitation team with access to advanced equipment and technology and opportunities for professional growth.

Requirements

• Current state license in Respiratory Therapy.
• CPR certification.

Nice To Haves

• ACLS certification preferred.
• Two years of hospital experience in Respiratory Therapy preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct care to patients who need medical gas, breathing therapy modalities, and medication.
• Supervise patient care and breathing treatments.
• Lead patient assessments and create personalized care plans.
• Identify and resolve patient concerns.
• Understand patients’ physical, mental, and emotional needs to support successful recovery.
• Recognize and celebrate patient progress.
