Per-Diem Respiratory Therapist - Dayton General Hospital
About The Position
Columbia County Health System is seeking a compassionate and dependable Respiratory Therapist to join the Respiratory Therapy team at Dayton General Hospital in Dayton, Washington. The role provides safe and effective respiratory care while maintaining high safety and clinical standards. The therapist communicates with patients and clinical staff, demonstrates sound judgment and teamwork, and educates patients about respiratory conditions and treatment as appropriate. This is a per-diem position with flexible scheduling in a community hospital setting. Compensation is $35.00–$58.00 per hour. A $3,750 sign-on bonus is offered for part-time or per-diem status. Shift differentials are $4.00 for nights and $2.00 for weekends; shift differentials are also listed for call back support.
Requirements
- Active Washington State respiratory therapist license.
Nice To Haves
- Current ACLS is preferred.
- BLS certification every two years; the employer will help obtain it.
Responsibilities
- Safely and effectively administer respiratory therapy medications.
- Use, maintain, and care for respiratory therapy equipment and supplies properly.
- Maintain accurate and thorough clinical records and charting.
- Uphold high safety standards and work responsibly at all times.
- Communicate effectively with physicians, nurses, patients, and hospital staff, and demonstrate strong teamwork.
- Exercise good judgment, tact, dependability, and accuracy in all duties.
- Educate patients about their respiratory condition and treatment as appropriate.
