About The Position

Premiere Healthcare Staffing is seeking a Respiratory Therapist for a 12-week assignment in Redding, CA. This role is within the Respiratory Therapy Department and offers day shifts. The position involves performing respiratory therapy treatments and pulmonary diagnostic procedures, assessing and documenting patient care, and tailoring care to specific patient needs. The therapist will work under the direction of the Medical Director and Cardiopulmonary Director/Manager. There is a potential to serve as Lead RCP, overseeing the department during a shift.

Requirements

State Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) License required.
Current BCLS (AHA) certificate upon hire and maintain current.
Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) certification from the National Board of Respiratory Care (NBRC) required.
Minimum one (1) year of experience as an RCP required.
ACLS certificate upon hire and maintain current.
PALS certificate upon hire and maintain current.
Associate Degree or Bachelor of Science degree required. If there is no Associate Degree or Bachelor of Science Degree, a high school diploma or equivalent is required.

Responsibilities

Performs respiratory therapy treatments and pulmonary diagnostic procedures as ordered by the provider
Works under the direction of the Medical Director and Cardiopulmonary Director/Manager
Assesses, plans, implements, and documents patient care
Tailors care to age-specific and population-specific patient needs
May serve as Lead RCP when needed, overseeing department/section during shift
