About The Position

Encompass Health is seeking a Respiratory Therapist to provide compassionate respiratory care to patients in an inpatient rehabilitation setting. The therapist helps patients facing respiratory challenges work toward independence and recovery, using specialized skills, equipment, and technology as part of a supportive, collaborative team. The role includes direct patient care, assessment, personalized care planning, and support for patients’ physical, mental, and emotional needs.

Requirements

• Current state license in Respiratory Therapy.
• CPR certification.

Nice To Haves

• ACLS certification.
• Two years of hospital experience in Respiratory Therapy.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct care to patients who need medical gas, breathing therapy modalities, and medication.
• Supervise patient care and breathing treatments.
• Lead patient assessments and create personalized care plans.
• Identify and resolve patient concerns.
• Build relationships with patients and understand their physical, mental, and emotional needs to support recovery.
• Recognize and celebrate patient progress and achievements.
