About The Position

Encompass Health is hiring a Respiratory Therapist to provide compassionate, specialized care to patients facing respiratory challenges in an inpatient rehabilitation setting. The role supports patients’ rehabilitation, well-being, and progress toward independence, using respiratory therapy skills and equipment in a collaborative team environment.

The Respiratory Therapist provides direct care, supervises respiratory care and breathing treatments, assesses patients, develops personalized care plans, and addresses patient concerns. The position also involves building relationships with patients and understanding their physical, mental, and emotional needs throughout recovery.

Requirements

• Current state license in Respiratory Therapy.
• CPR certification.

Nice To Haves

• ACLS certification preferred.
• Two years of hospital experience in Respiratory Therapy preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct care to patients who need medical gas, breathing therapy modalities, and medication.
• Supervise patient care and breathing treatments.
• Lead patient assessments and create personalized care plans.
• Identify and resolve patient concerns.
• Build relationships with patients by understanding their physical, mental, and emotional needs.
• Support patients’ recovery and celebrate their progress.
