About The Position

SRMC Has an Exciting Opportunity for Qualified Candidates! Position: Full Time Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) Department : Salem Home Medical Shift: Days ‍ PURPOSE The primary purpose of your job position as CPS/Respiratory Care Professional (RCP) is to perform assigned duties in an effective manner, in accordance with established policies and procedures, and as directed by your supervisor to assure that a successful viable department is maintained at all times. Under the direction of the Director of Cardio Pulmonary and Rehabilitation Services, performs a variety of Cardio Pulmonary Procedures without constant supervision. Must care for a patient population, which includes adolescents and geriatrics; therefore must be able to identify the special needs of each patient according to age and respond accordingly. Assumes responsibility for assigned areas and /or procedures/treatments and performs other related duties as assigned.

Requirements

Successful completion of an accredited program in Respiratory Care and is a Certified or Registered Therapist.
Must be licensed by the state of Ohio.
Has complete understanding of all common respiratory procedures and sterile techniques.
Should possess basic knowledge of how a respiratory department functions.
Working knowledge of medical terminology is required.
Must be able to prioritize and work independently.
Must be able to function effectively and efficiently in emergencies.
Must be able to make quick decisions when necessary.
