Requirements

  • Graduate of an approved respiratory care technology program with a current North Carolina Respiratory Care license.
  • Registered Respiratory Therapist credential or CRT credential.
  • Minimum one year of clinical Respiratory care experience required.
  • Clinical life safety certification requirements must be achieved prior to the end of the probationary/training period include: ACLS, PALS and NRP.

Nice To Haves

  • RRT preferred.
  • Three (3) to five (5) years of current clinical respiratory care experience preferred.
  • NICU and Pediatric experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Perform all types of oxygen therapy, aerosol therapy, airway management with intubations, arterial punctures and analysis, invasive and non-invasive ventilation management protocols.
  • Evaluate the respiratory needs of patients and develop and implement a Respiratory Care Plan based on Clinical Practice Guidelines.
