About The Position
This is a contract/non-travel position for a Respiratory Therapist (RT) located in Norfolk, VA. The contract duration is 13 weeks, starting on August 10, 2026. The schedule is from 6:30 AM to 7:00 PM.
Requirements
- Valid and active Respiratory Therapy State license.
- BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certifications.
Responsibilities
- Evaluate patients' respiratory health, including lung function and oxygen levels.
- Create personalized respiratory care plans and administer treatments to improve lung function.
- Manage mechanical ventilators and adjust settings for patients with breathing difficulties.
- Respond to respiratory emergencies per established protocols.
- Document assessments and treatments accurately and follow infection control standards.
