About The Position

Encompass Health is seeking a Respiratory Therapist to provide compassionate, specialized care to patients facing respiratory challenges in an inpatient rehabilitation setting. The therapist supports patient rehabilitation and well-being, helps guide patients toward greater independence, and works with a collaborative care team using respiratory care equipment and technology. The role includes providing respiratory treatments and medication, assessing patients, developing personalized care plans, addressing patient concerns, and supporting patients throughout their recovery.

Requirements

• Current state license in Respiratory Therapy.
• CPR certification.

Nice To Haves

• ACLS certification.
• Two years of hospital experience in Respiratory Therapy.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct care to patients requiring medical gas, breathing therapy modalities, and medication.
• Supervise patient care and breathing treatments.
• Lead patient assessments and develop personalized care plans.
• Identify and resolve patient concerns.
• Understand patients’ physical, mental, and emotional needs to support successful recovery.
• Recognize and celebrate patient progress and achievements.
