About The Position
The Respiratory Therapist is responsible for providing care which includes assessment, treatment, management, diagnostic evaluation of patients with deficiencies and abnormalities of the cardiopulmonary system. Consults with Physicians. Provides consultation, instruction, and/or technical direction of medical, nursing, and other staff members regarding matters within their scope of practice.
Requirements
- Associate's degree required.
- Georgia license as a Respiratory Care Professional.
- Current CPR card or obtain within 60 days of hire.
- ACLS, PALS certification or obtain within 90 days of hire.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Emotional maturity and ability to function effectively under stress.
Nice To Haves
- At least two years of experience in a hospital or medical-related environment.
- NRP certification is strongly recommended.
