Requirements

Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) or Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential through the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC).
Current State Respiratory Care License.
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification.
Current Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) Certification.
Minimum of two years of respiratory therapy experience required.

Responsibilities

Assess, evaluate, and monitor patients with respiratory and cardiopulmonary conditions.
Administer respiratory therapies including oxygen therapy, nebulizer treatments, and airway management interventions.
Operate and manage advanced respiratory equipment, including ventilators, CPAP, and BiPAP devices.
Perform diagnostic testing and interpret patient responses to treatment.
Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary care teams to develop and implement individualized treatment plans.
Respond quickly and effectively to respiratory emergencies and critical care situations.
Educate patients and families on respiratory conditions, treatment plans, and home care techniques.
Maintain accurate documentation and ensure compliance with all regulatory and clinical standards.
Stay current on emerging respiratory care practices and advancements in patient treatment.
