Requirements

Graduate of an approved program for Respiratory Care is required.
Valid license from the Massachusetts Board of Registration in Respiratory Care is required.
CRT (Certified Respiratory Therapist) is required.
Must be fully vaccinated against seasonal Influenza and the COVID 19 virus or to be exempt from the requirement for medical or personal reasons by signing a statement certifying you are choosing to be exempt from vaccination once hired.

Nice To Haves

An Associates degree is preferred.
One (1) year of acute and chronic respiratory care experience is preferred.
RRT (Registered Respiratory Therapist) is preferred.

Responsibilities

Administer and monitor Respiratory Care Services according to Physician’s orders.
Perform Chest Physical Therapy (CPT), sputum induction, and breathing exercises.
Administer medications, perform fit testing, and Tuberculosis (TB) testing.
Conduct blood sampling and analysis.
Perform Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR).
Assist with airway management and bronchoscopy.
Conduct evaluations and assessments.
Implement protocols.
Provide patient and family education, including smoking cessation.
Manage non-invasive and invasive mechanical ventilation.
Administer heliox therapy and oxygen therapy.
Perform holter monitoring, Electrocardiogram (EKG) testing, and Pulmonary Function Testing (PFT).
