About The Position
The Registered Respiratory Therapist works under minimal direction to implement and evaluate diagnostic and therapeutic respiratory services that assist physicians in diagnosing and managing patients with cardiopulmonary and related disorders. The role includes educating patients, students, staff, and physicians; providing technical support for respiratory care equipment; and assisting with general department functions. The Respiratory Care Department provides comprehensive services to patients of all ages. Its team collaborates with physicians and other healthcare professionals to provide diagnostic testing, therapeutic interventions, and patient education using current technology and evidence-based practices. This is a full-time position at Corewell Health Dearborn Hospital in Dearborn, Michigan, scheduled for 36 hours per week on the night shift, 6:30 p.m. to 6:30 a.m. Days are variable, and the position includes every other weekend. A $10,000 sign-on bonus is advertised.
Requirements
- Associate's degree in Respiratory Therapy.
- Respiratory Therapist License – State of Michigan, required upon hire.
- Respiratory Therapist Registry – NBRC National Board for Respiratory Care, required upon hire.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross, required upon hire.
Responsibilities
