Nemours is seeking a full-time Respiratory Therapist to join their Nemours Children's Hospital team in Wilmington, DE. This position is responsible for providing, under the general direction of the Therapist in Charge or Assistant Director of Respiratory Care, all routine and emergency respiratory care in all patient care areas. Respiratory Therapists provide clinical direction for respiratory care trainees and technicians, and offer consultation and education to other healthcare professionals. The role involves routine hands-on contact with patients and frequent contact with patients’ families, as well as interaction with other hospital staff like nurses and physicians. The Nemours Children’s Health-DE Respiratory Care Department achieved APEX status in 2023, designated by the American Association of Respiratory Care, exemplifying best practices in the profession and enhancing patient safety and outcomes.
