About The Position

Respiratory therapists evaluate, treat and manage patients of all ages with respiratory illnesses and other cardiopulmonary disorders in a wide variety of clinical settings. Respiratory therapists must demonstrate behaviour and ethics that are consistent with the standards and ethics of all health care professionals. In addition to performing respiratory therapy procedures, Respiratory Therapists are involved in clinical decision making (such as patient evaluation, treatment selection and assessment of treatment efficacy) and patient education. Respiratory Therapists report directly to the Director of Respiratory Services.

Requirements

  • Respiratory Therapy diploma (RT)
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support Certificate (ACLS)
  • Valid Class 5 driver's license
  • Basic Life Support Health Care Provider Certificate (BLS-HCP)
  • Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP)
  • Registered/eligible with Saskatchewan College of Respiratory Therapist (SCRT)
  • Registered/eligible with the Canadian Society of Respiratory Therapist (CSRT)
  • Must upload all relevant documents (ex: certificates, diplomas, proof of enrollment, licenses and/or memberships) relating to the qualifications of the position.
  • Must bring a valid Criminal Record Check (CRC) to the interview; it must be dated within six (6) months and include a vulnerable sector search.

Nice To Haves

  • Acute Care experience preferred.
