About The Position

Under minimal direction, the Registered Respiratory Therapist implements and evaluates diagnostic and therapeutic respiratory services to assist physicians in diagnosing and managing patients with cardiopulmonary and related disorders. The therapist participates in educating patients, students, staff, and physicians; provides technical support for equipment related to Respiratory Care; and assists with general department functions.

The Respiratory Care Department provides services to patients of all ages, including diagnostic testing, therapeutic interventions, and patient education. The team collaborates with physicians and other healthcare professionals and uses current technology and evidence-based practices to care for a wide range of respiratory conditions.

This is a full-time position at Taylor Hospital, scheduled for 36 hours per week on the night shift. Hours are 6:30 p.m. to 6:30 a.m., days worked are variable, and the position includes every other weekend.

Requirements

• Associate's degree in Respiratory Therapy.
• Michigan Respiratory Therapist license upon hire.
• NBRC Registered Respiratory Therapist credential upon hire.
• Basic Life Support certification through the American Heart Association or American Red Cross.
