About The Position

We provide superior care and superior services to patients at their end of life journey. Only those who have a heart for hospice will succeed. This role involves providing superior respiratory care and coordination of hospice services in a manner that meets specific patient needs, Ohio’s Hospice standards, Medicare Conditions of Participation (COP) and achieves the desired outcome of a comfortable and peaceful death for patients. Respiratory visits will be prioritized on patients’ emergent needs, diagnosis, and complex equipment needs. Respiratory patient visits are required for patients with a diagnosis of ALS, COPD, Pulmonary Fibrosis, and Respiratory Failure. Visits for patients with lung cancer will be based on nurse request or respiratory complexity of patient’s care. Complex needs include C-PAP, BiPAP, Tracheostomy, and high flow O2.

Requirements

  • CRT or RRT license in the state of Ohio with no board action.
  • CPR Certified
  • Computer skills sufficient to properly document services and care.
  • Ability to drive during daytime, nighttime or inclement weather.
  • Valid Driver's License with Safe Driving Record
  • State Minimum Automobile Insurance Coverage

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in hospital, home care and DME settings preferred.
  • Knowledge of C-PAP, BiPAP, High Flow O2, tracheostomy and transport needs of complex respiratory patients.

Responsibilities

  • Prioritize respiratory visits on patients’ emergent needs, diagnosis, and complex equipment needs.
  • Perform respiratory patient visits for patients with a diagnosis of ALS, COPD, Pulmonary Fibrosis, and Respiratory Failure.
  • Perform visits for patients with lung cancer based on nurse request or respiratory complexity of patient’s care.
