Requirements

  • Associates or Bachelor's degree required.
  • Non-degreed applicants with RRT credentials prior to January 1, 2006 and graduates from a military RT program with RRT credentials will also be considered.
  • State license required at time of hire.
  • Active NBRC RRT required at time of hire.
  • BLS required at time of hire.
  • For new graduates only, must have State license and BLS at time of hire, and must obtain NBRC RRT within 6 months of hire date.

Responsibilities

  • Provide respiratory therapy services to patients.
  • Administer respiratory treatments and therapies.
  • Monitor patient respiratory status and response to treatment.
  • Educate patients and families on respiratory care.
  • Collaborate with healthcare team members to develop and implement patient care plans.
