About The Position

Under the direction of the Primary Health Care Manager, the Respiratory Therapist is responsible for general and specialized respiratory care in the assigned areas, as well as assisting with special projects and maintaining respiratory therapy equipment. The incumbent will promote the delivery of patient centred care through the application of professional standards. The position will have specific responsibilities related to patient needs and clinical knowledge.

Requirements

Graduate from a Respiratory Therapy training program accredited by the CSRT
Successful completion of an exam approved by the CSRT
Basic Cardiac Life Support Certificate (BCLS)
Valid Class 5 driver's license
Registered/eligible with Saskatchewan College of Respiratory Therapist (SCRT)
One (1) year previous related life skills/experience
Demonstrated knowledge, experience, or training in all of the position duties
Ability to work well both independently and in a team
Ability to respond under pressure
Ability to function effectively in high stress and in emergency situations
Manages change effectively, demonstrates positive attitude
Ability to work with a multi-disciplinary team of professionals
Communication skills
Interpersonal skills
