About The Position
Saint Joseph Health System is seeking a dedicated Respiratory Therapist to join their dynamic team. This full-time, day shift position involves providing respiratory therapy to stabilize, prevent, or remedy patient respiratory problems. Responsibilities include operating various therapeutic gas and aerosolized medication delivery systems, managing mechanical ventilation devices, and maintaining equipment. The role requires meticulous record-keeping of patient data. Respiratory Therapists at Saint Joseph Health System are integral to patient care, involved in critical care interventions from intubation to maternal transport. The system utilizes Respiratory-driven protocols, empowering therapists to utilize their expertise and significantly impact patient outcomes. Requirements
- Graduate of an AMA accredited program
- Current licensure as a Respiratory Therapist in the State of Indiana
- Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) through the National Board of respiratory Care (NBRC)
Nice To Haves
- Experience in Critical Care, NICU, Open Heart Recovery, and Bronchoscopy preferred
Responsibilities
- Provides respiratory therapy designed to stabilize, prevent or remedy patient respiratory problems.
- Arranges and operates a variety of oxygen and other therapeutic gas and aerosolized, meter dosed, or powdered medications to patients.
- Operates various mechanical devices that aid in the recovery of patients.
- Cleans and checks equipment regularly for proper functioning and records data obtained during therapy in patient records.
