About The Position

We are seeking a skilled Registered Respiratory Therapist to join our team. This role involves providing comprehensive respiratory care services across various hospital departments, adapting to specific duty assignments. The therapist will operate independently, making decisions in accordance with approved medical policies and procedures, and will be responsible for analyzing lung capacity and blood samples using advanced equipment. A key aspect of the role includes implementing and evaluating patient care plans, adjusting them as necessary based on patient response, and effectively documenting and communicating patient conditions. The position also requires prompt response to emergency codes, providing appropriate respiratory treatment, and educating patients and families about illnesses and available community resources. Additionally, the therapist will manage respiratory care supplies and equipment, ensuring proper maintenance and calibration.

Requirements

Associate of Applied Science in Respiratory Care or higher.
Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) certification.
State of West Virginia licensure.

Responsibilities

Provide respiratory care services across various hospital departments, adapting to specific duty assignments.
Supervise other respiratory care practitioners and provide orientation and in-service education as needed.
Operate independently, making decisions in accordance with approved medical policies and procedures.

Document and communicate patient conditions effectively.
Respond promptly to emergency codes and provide appropriate respiratory treatment.
