About The Position

We are seeking a skilled Respiratory Therapist to provide high-quality care in an acute care setting. The ideal candidate will have strong clinical expertise, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Pediatric experience is strongly preferred. Candidates must reside outside a 100-mile radius. No block or fixed scheduling accommodations. Every other weekend and holiday rotation required.

Requirements

• Associate Degree (A.A.S.) in Respiratory Therapy
• Active New York State Respiratory Therapist license/registration
• Minimum 2 years of clinical acute care experience
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to pass pre-employment health clearance
• Minimum 1+ year of experience in respiratory therapy field
• 2+ years acute care experience strongly preferred

Nice To Haves

• Pediatric respiratory care experience

Responsibilities

• Administer oxygen therapy, aerosol therapy, and positive pressure ventilation
• Assist physicians with initiation and maintenance of mechanical ventilation
• Perform cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) as required
• Conduct pulmonary function tests
• Perform radial arterial punctures
• Monitor and evaluate patient respiratory status and response to therapy
• Provide care across acute care settings with minimal supervision
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient care
