This is a benefited, Full time, night shift position as an RCP at La Jolla Memorial hospital. Requirements

  • Current California RCP license required.
  • Current American Heart Association Healthcare Provider BLS certification required.
  • Must be able to speak, read, and follow instructions in English.
  • Technically competent in the department skills inventory.
  • Computer literate.

Nice To Haves

  • One or more years acute care experience.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Enjoys working with the public.
  • Graduate of one or two year AMA School of Respiratory Care preferred.

Responsibilities

  • In collaboration with other caregivers, assesses, plans, implements and evaluates action for respiratory care.
  • Performs all technical, diagnostic and therapeutic procedures related to respiratory care.
  • Performs other core responsibilities to maintain the flow of patient care.
  • May provide additional patient care within their scope of practice as permitted by licensure, certificate or training.
  • Utilizes computer systems in performing position duties.
  • Adheres to hospital and departmental policies and procedures.
  • Participates in quality control, preventative maintenance and performance improvement activities.
