About The Position

This position provides specialized respiratory care to patients in all areas of the hospital in support of comprehensive medical care as directed by medical staff and pursuant to objectives and established regulations, policies and procedures. Employees work under medical direction of a provider and/ or Director of Cardiopulmonary Services.

Requirements

• Current State of Florida License as a Registered Respiratory Therapist preferred or Certified Respiratory Therapist required.
• American Heart Association BLS and ACLS certification required.
• Strong customer service skills.
• Ability to multi-task while working in a high volume work environment.
• Able to work effectively with team members, supervisors, patients and their families to accomplish team goals.
• Ability to plan, organize and perform job associated tasks to completion.
• Willing to adjust personal schedule to accommodate patient needs.
• Demonstrated knowledge of computers and proficiency in the use of an electronic health record system required.

Nice To Haves

• NRP, PALS, and STABLE certifications preferred.
• Previous Respiratory Therapist experience preferred in the disciplines of Critical / Emergency Care.
• CPSl/Evident preferred.
• Knowledge of web based programs and Microsoft Office suite of products including Outlook, Word and Excel preferred.
