Respiratory Therapist (Rt) Full Time Days
About The Position
AMG Specialty Hospital - Albuquerque is seeking a full-time Respiratory Therapist for day shifts. The role involves technical work administering therapeutic and diagnostic respiratory care and life support to patients with cardiopulmonary deficiencies and abnormalities. The therapist operates and monitors respiratory equipment; administers medical gases, humidification, aerosols, and respiratory medications; maintains clearance of natural and artificial airways; and provides primary assistance during cardiopulmonary resuscitation. Weekend shifts receive shift differentials.
Requirements
- Completion of an approved respiratory care program.
- Current BLS certification.
- Minimum of one to three years of related work experience.
- Ability to read and communicate effectively in English.
Responsibilities
- Administer therapeutic and diagnostic respiratory care and life support to patients with cardiopulmonary deficiencies and abnormalities.
- Operate and monitor continuous and intermittent ventilators, medical gas delivery apparatus, incentive breathing and hyperinflation devices, environmental control systems, and aerosol devices.
- Administer medical gases, humidification, aerosols, and respiratory medications.
- Maintain clearance of patients’ natural and artificial airways.
- Provide primary assistance in cardiopulmonary resuscitation.
