About The Position

Our patients are our number one priority! We're committed to giving children back their childhood! This PRN, as needed position involves the management of respiratory care, including direct patient care through assessments, interventions, and coordination of the respiratory plan of care. The role also includes assisting the Respiratory Clinical Manager in educating staff, patients, and families, and performing thorough, developmentally-appropriate respiratory assessments. Collaboration with other healthcare professionals, patients, and families is essential. Responsibilities include performing comprehensive respiratory care evaluations for the inpatient and outpatient pediatric population, assessing the need for respiratory care-related equipment and supplies, and participating in performance improvement efforts related to respiratory therapy.

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited school for respiratory care
• Respiratory Therapist (RRT) per the National Board of Respiratory Care required
• Current license to practice Respiratory Care by the Texas Medical Board
• Minimum 2 years of acute care practice
• Current BLS and PALS Certification required

Nice To Haves

• Pediatric experience
• Neonatal Pediatric Specialist (NPS) preferred
