About The Position

The Corewell Health Sleep Center is a 16-bed outpatient facility serving patients of all ages, including infants and children. It is staffed by board-certified sleep experts, including physicians and nurse practitioners for both adults and children. The center features six dedicated pediatric rooms, three of which have cribs, to support young patients and their guardians. The facility offers various diagnostic tests such as MSLT and MWT, and can accommodate patients requiring daytime sleep studies, including night shift workers. They also provide Home Sleep Apnea Testing and are unique in Michigan for catering to infants. Accommodations are available for parents, guardians, or spouses accompanying patients during sleep studies.

Requirements

• Associate's Degree of Applied Science degree in Respiratory Therapy
• LIC-Respiratory Therapist - STATE_MI State of Michigan Upon Hire required
• CRT-Respiratory Therapist Registry - NBRC National Board for Respiratory Care Upon Hire required
• CRT-At least one Certification from preferred list - UNKNOWN Unknown Upon Hire required
• CRT-Basic Life Support (BLS) - AHA American Heart Association Upon Hire required
• Or CRT-Basic Life Support (BLS) - ARC American Red Cross Upon Hire required

Responsibilities

• Implements and evaluates diagnostic and therapeutic respiratory services to assist physicians in the diagnosis and management of patients with cardiopulmonary and related disorders.
• Participates in the education of patients, students, staff and physicians.
• Provides technical support for all equipment related to the practice of Respiratory Care.
• Assists with general department functions.
