Hillcrest Claremore is a 49-bed acute care medical center offering a wide range of inpatient and outpatient services, including maternity, cardiology, emergency, orthopedics, alcohol withdrawal stabilization, gastroenterology and surgery.

Requirements

  • Associated Degree in Respiratory Care
  • A minimum of 1 year of experience
  • Oklahoma CRT license (upon hire)
  • RRT license for Registered Respiratory Therapist ONLY (upon hire)
  • BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role and prior to providing direct patient care.
  • ACLS (within 30 days of hire)
  • NRP (within 60 days of hire)

Nice To Haves

  • 3+ years of experience.

Responsibilities

  • Set up and operate various types of equipment to be utilized in the diagnosis and treatment of respiratory disease and or illness in Labor and Delivery, medsurg, recovery, intensive care and Emergency room to all age groups.
  • Provide administration of respiratory specific gases and medications, and modes of therapy for the respiratory compromised patient.
  • Respond to emergencies throughout the hospital.
  • Advise on arterial blood gas results and assist with obtaining ABG’s.
  • Assist in the transport of mechanically ventilated patients and patients on noninvasive ventilation.
  • May assist in the ordering of department supplies.
  • Take and record verbal and telephone orders from physicians as necessary.
  • Attend deliveries and initiate neonatal nasal cpap and mechanical ventilation.
  • Take an active part in attending departmental in-service/education programs.
  • Participate in Quality Assurance programs and participate in department meetings.
  • Work schedule includes working alternate weekends and holidays.
  • Participate in taking call.
  • Perform all other duties as assigned.
