About The Position
Encompass Health is hiring a Respiratory Therapist to provide compassionate respiratory care and support patient rehabilitation in an inpatient rehabilitation setting. The role involves helping patients with respiratory challenges move toward greater independence, using specialized skills and equipment within a supportive, collaborative team. The posting welcomes both early-career and experienced Respiratory Therapists. Requirements
- Current state license in Respiratory Therapy.
- CPR certification.
Nice To Haves
- ACLS certification preferred.
- Two years of hospital experience in Respiratory Therapy preferred.
Responsibilities
- Provide direct care to patients requiring medical gas, breathing therapy modalities, and medication.
- Supervise care and breathing treatments.
- Conduct patient assessments and create personalized care plans.
- Identify and resolve patient concerns.
- Build relationships with patients by understanding their physical, mental, and emotional needs.
- Support patients through recovery and celebrate their progress.
