About The Position

The Registered Respiratory Therapist role within University Hospitals offers a unique chance to become part of a dynamic, collaborative interdisciplinary team. This position adds value to patient care and significantly assists individuals with breathing issues. Positions are available for new-graduate and experienced respiratory therapy professionals across various locations. Candidates must meet the minimum education and licensing requirements set forth by the State of OH to practice at the time of hire.

Requirements

Associate's Degree in Respiratory (Required) or Bachelor's Degree in Respiratory (Required)
1+ years Respiratory Therapy experience (Required)
Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) (Required Upon Hire)
Basic Life Support (BLS) (Required)
AARC membership within 6 months of hire date (Required)
NRP Certification (Neonatal facilities) (Required within 6 Months)

Nice To Haves

Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) (Preferred)
Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) (Preferred)

Responsibilities

Mechanical ventilation
Medicated aerosol delivery
Airway clearance therapy
Patient monitoring
Oxygen and humidity therapy
Special procedures (CPR, specialty gases, bronchoscopy, transport, etc.)
Performs other duties as assigned.
Complies with all policies and standards.
Must abide by all requirements to safely and securely maintain Protected Health Information (PHI) for our patients.
