About The Position

Our patients are our number one priority! We're committed to giving children back their childhood! This position is for a Respiratory Therapist in Dallas, working PRN as needed, Monday - Sunday on 12-hour shifts. The role encompasses direct patient care by providing patient assessments, interventions, and coordination of the respiratory plan of care. The therapist will assist the Respiratory Clinical Manager in the education of staff, patients, and families, and perform thorough, developmentally-appropriate respiratory assessments. Communication and collaboration with other healthcare professionals, patients, and families are essential. The role involves performing comprehensive respiratory care evaluations for the inpatient and outpatient pediatric population and families, assessing the need for respiratory care-related equipment and supplies, and participating in performance improvement efforts related to respiratory therapy.

Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited school for respiratory care
  • Respiratory Therapist (RRT) per the National Board of Respiratory Care required
  • Current license to practice Respiratory Care by the Texas Medical Board
  • Minimum 2 years of acute care practice
  • Current BLS and PALS Certification required

Nice To Haves

  • Pediatric experience
  • Neonatal Pediatric Specialist (NPS) preferred
